## How it works

At a high level, there are three steps:

1. **Launch your Sales Assistant.**
2. **Copy the install snippet** that EasyMate creates for you.
3. **Paste the snippet into your website** so the chat appears on every page.

That’s it. You don’t write any code yourself. The snippet is generated for you with your Sales Assistant’s details already filled in.

The snippet is the same for every website platform. What changes is **where you paste it**. Each platform has a slightly different spot for adding custom code, which is what the per-platform guides explain.

## Step 1: Launch your Sales Assistant

1. Open your **Sales Assistant**.
2. Go to the **Launch** screen (in the left menu).
3. Click **Launch Sales Assistant** and confirm. Your assistant goes live on every page where the snippet is installed.

The Launch screen. Once launched, copy the embed snippet to add to your website.

If your Sales Assistant is **offline** (you clicked **Take offline**), the chat won’t appear on your site even when the snippet is installed correctly. This is the most common reason it doesn’t show up. To pause it, use **Take offline**; to bring it back, click **Launch** again.

## Step 2: Copy the install snippet

On the Launch screen, under **Embed on your website**, you’ll see a **Code snippet** with a **Copy** button. Click **Copy** to put the snippet on your clipboard. For a breakdown of what the snippet contains, see [The install snippet](/content/docs/solutions/sales-assistant/deploying/install-snippet/index.html).

## Step 3: Paste it into your website

Choose your platform and follow the guide:

## Taking it offline

If you ever want to remove the chat from your site, open your Sales Assistant’s **Launch** screen and click **Take offline**. The chat stops appearing right away, and you can launch it again whenever you’re ready. You don’t need to touch your website.
